I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in music from the University of Vermont and a Master of Music degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I was awarded a full fellowship. I also minored in Animal Science at the University of Massachusetts.
My extensive experience in the music industry includes teaching flute at the University of Mobile and performing as a soloist with ensembles such as the Magnolia Chamber Orchestra and Baldwin Pops. Over the years, I have been able to:
- Graduate from the USDF “L” Judge Education Program
- Breed and Train Swedish Warmblood Horses
- Teach Dressage Lessons and Clinics
- Host Recognized Competitions
- Conduct Freestyle Clinics Nationwide
My dressage mentors include Arlene Rigdon, Jos Sevriens, and at university, Susan Blinks and Sarah Geikie.
My expertise is trusted by the USDF Connection Magazine and Dressage Today for me to contribute educational articles. I have been interviewed on the USDF dressage radio show on multiple occasions to give expert commentary on freestyle tests.
Most recently, I was featured in a USDF Connection article as a successful professional in the field of musical freestyle design. I have also been interviewed in Zoom talks with the international judge, Cesar Torrente (also my freestyle client), and the Chronicle of the Horse blogger, Lauren Sprieser.
My client list is comprised of professionals and amateurs, Juniors and Young Riders, such as the following highly recognized competitors:
- Lauren Sprieser
- Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel
- Emily Miles
- David Blake
It also includes several NAYC silver and gold medalists like Lauren Asher and Lexie Kment.
