About Beth Hall & Woodwind Studios

Through Woodwind Studios, I bring a diverse background in dressage and music to the art of freestyle design with over two decades of experience in the field. Keep reading to learn more. 

Education

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in music from the University of Vermont and a Master of Music degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I was awarded a full fellowship. I also minored in Animal Science at the University of Massachusetts.

My extensive experience in the music industry includes teaching flute at the University of Mobile and performing as a soloist with ensembles such as the Magnolia Chamber Orchestra and Baldwin Pops. Over the years, I have been able to:

  • Breed and Train Swedish Warmblood Horses
  • Teach Dressage Lessons and Clinics
  • Host Recognized Competitions

Engagements

My expertise is trusted by the USDF Connection Magazine and Dressage Today for me to contribute educational articles. I have been interviewed on the USDF dressage radio show on multiple occasions to give expert commentary on freestyle tests.

Most recently, I was featured in a USDF Connection article as a successful professional in the field of musical freestyle design. I have also been interviewed in Zoom talks with the international judge, Cesar Torrente (also my freestyle client), and the Chronicle of the Horse blogger, Lauren Sprieser.
